Explore attachment theory-in-practice and how it applies to executive coaching and relationships within the workplace. Consider its relevance to the centrality of the relationship between coach and client.
Event Details
Consider the relevance of attachment theory to the centrality of the relationship between coach and client. In the Tavistock tradition, executive coaching builds on the practice of role consultation, which conceptualizes role as a dynamic mediation between the organization and the individual. And so we will also examine the relevance of attachment to relationships in the workplace.
The intention is not to attempt to present attachment theory and the associated research as a whole. Rather, there will be a combination of a "taught" element with experiential engagement, through which to trace the development of this field and provide a "feel" for its relevance to practitioners, with a particular emphasis on its application to executive coaching.
